ABOUT OUR VINEYARDS

We have two Vineyards located in different Grape appellation zones (AVA) of Oregon.

Brightlight Vineyard is located in the Columbia Valley AVA, and WindEarth Vineyard is located in the Willamette Valley AVA.  Both of our vineyards contain Mother Blocks for our Certified Clean Vines (Apical Vines Nursery). In addition to having tonnage for commercial Winery Operations for several of our varieties, we also have smaller quantities of grapes coming from the over 150 varieties available in our Nursery. Whether you are looking to make a small batch at the house, several tons, a unique wine for the customers at your winery, or some exquisite table grapes; we have a lot to choose from. Our grapes are sold on a first to reserve basis, so check out the links above and contact us for more info.

-Bright Light Vineyard (The Dalles, Oregon)

Built on the rocky slopes of the Chenoweth Hills, Brightlight Vineyard Boasts SouthEast slopes that minimize disease and increase sunlight exposure. Our slopes range from 5-25% with rows going straight up the hill, giving us near NNW-SSE row orientation. This orientation gives us even ripening on both sides of the clusters, resulting in superior flavor and protection from sun burn. Hence the name, - It really is very bright.

-Windearth Vineyard (Forest Grove, Oregon)

The grapes on this site have the luxury of growing into deep Loess (wind blown) soils, that allow for mature vines to be dry farmed, giving the grapes unique character for each year and vintage. The Coveted Laurelwood soil sits on a mostly south by Southwest aspect with slopes of 5-12% andNorth-South Row orientation. This is a cooler site than Brightlight Vineyard, but with excellent phenolic ripening that is just perfect for the famed Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and a few other varieties you may or may not know about.
